CREATIVITY ART RETREAT in TRANSITION....

I am very sorry to say, that this year we will not be running the Creativity Art Retreat in Dunedin or on Atlantic Avenue in Toronto....
After another very intense two months in Africa, I need this summer to regroup and take a good look at where we are going from here.
I hope to spend a lot of time in Dunedin this summer, painting and will be showing work at the Purple Hills Studio tour in September.

MY AFRICAN JOURNEY:

I've been lucky enough to have worked in African over the last 4 winters, in Zimbabwe, Kenya and in Tanzania. It has been an incredibly rich experience, and one which I continue to share with my BLOG, see below, and my INTO AFRICA presentations: personal stories and photographs drawn from working on the HIV AIDS pandemic, with Tanzania's tribal Masai people, and children of the orphanages...If your group might be interested please contact me. 416-951-6528

African update:
We opened the MAJENGO Orphanage last March '09 with 40 children, age 2-8, orphaned by HIV AIDS, and have expanded our numbers this year to 55 kids!
It is our goal to assist in some way, either with education, medical needs, food, uniforms, shoes..1,000 children in the next 5 years! Very exciting.
In addition, our Masai Girls Education Project of sponsoring 16 Masai girls through Secondary School is going strongand are sponsoring 16 Masai tribal girls through Secondary School. And this year, we begun working on a MICRO FINANCING project with 80 almost all women who are living with HIV AIDS.
