I am excited to announce that after 11 fabulous years, the Creativity Art Retreat in Dunedin WILL be up and running this summer 2008.

As most of you know, I cancelled last summer's workshops, having spent last winter working in Africa for 4 life-changing months. Since then, I have been making lots of speeches and raising money for goats, sheds, Masai girl's education and HIV Aids education, doing some painting, and getting back to life in North America. I am planning to go back this winter.

While I needed the break, I did miss the incredible creative energy last year at the Art Retreat, the fabulous instructors and participants, the excitement of their breakthroughs and most of all the fun of getting together with such a great group of people.

Life wasn't the same in Dunedin without you! I welcome back instructors M. Douglas Walton, Peter Kolisnyk, and Casey McGlynn, and am thrilled to bring on two new wonderful teachers, Jennifer Horyak from Quebec, and Kato Wake. Please see our workshops section with full descriptions and times of our '08 schedule.

LOCATION
7 years ago we relocated from the Hockley Valley to a fabulous 150-year old former general store and post office, which is attached to a New York style loft/warehouse. It is on the banks of the Noisy River in Dunedin, a wee hamlet nestled amongst the Purple Hills. We are about an hour-and-a-half drive north-west of Toronto near Creemore, 15 minutes south of Collingwood.

The Creativity Art Retreat and The River House Guest House are situated right in the middle of Dunedin, on the river side. Look for a group of black buildings with blue trim and lots of flowers.

MEALS
Delicious gourmet lunches, dinners and snacks served on site, created beautifully by one of our fabulous local chefs - the number of dinners vary depending on which workshop you attend - see program. For off nights, restaurants are located nearby in Creemore, Singhampton and Collingwood. Participants are asked to notify us, well in advance, of any allergies or medical conditions.

WINE: We serve wine at our opening and closing gourmet celebration dinners at during each workshop. Participants may feel free to bring their own wines to enjoy, after yoga, for the other days of the workshop....

YOGA with Zoja....
An hour each day of stretches and breathing techniques designed to release tension from the body and enhance spontaneity and creativity. For absolute beginners of yoga as well as for those who have enjoyed the wonderful benefits of this ancient, relaxing form of exercise. We do our yoga on the deck under a huge walnut tree, right on the banks of the river, after the day of concentrating on our work. Please bring a yoga mat and plan to partake; it really helps with your painting!
