Peter has been teaching his special version of life drawing for years, courses in Toronto that are almost impossible to get into. His attention is to the feeling and character of the model, a sensuous curve in the arm, the arrogant tilt of the head - rather than the correct technical atonomical depiction of the body. We use everything in this workshop. It is more about making marks, your marks, your colours, textures, paints, charcoal, inspired by the model, not depicting her as she realistically is. Working on canvass, huge paper, with gestural poses, one minute, to five or ten minute, with Georgina at the helm...using charcoal, paint, conte, smudging, splattering, eraser on huge paper, canvas, mylar, board, whatever. Peter challenges and encourages you to go further than you could imagine, always in keeping with your own special interpretation and inspiration.
