November 2005:

"I have just come back from a 9 day painting session in Brooklyn with one of my favourite painters CASEY MCGLYNN. We worked on canvas and paper and board. We drew, and drew and drew, discovering our own symbols, working with layers and layers of every kind of paint, ink, pastel, oil, coffee, dirt, cutting, collaging, tearing, ripping, pasting, copying...5-10 pieces at a time...on the floor, table, walls....everything  and anything goes in a Casey McGlynn workshop....his enthusiasm and creative imagination leaps and frolics spontaneously on 24 hour basis...it was an awesome experience." Lynn Connell, artist, art retreat owner.

CASEY MCGLYNN As a child, Casey worked tirelessly on old grocery bags, and scrap paper; his first paintings reflected the self-taught spontaneity, orginality and raw energy found more often in Outsider Art, and still do, wonderfully.

Known initially for his primitive cave-like drawings and paintings of animals, his images, themes and materials shift constantly and continuously – from personal experience, emotional reflection  to people, animals, ideas, concepts, whims, great historical thoughts. Since 1995, he has exhibited in Canada with the Bau-Xi gallery, and extensively across the United States and Europe.
